NEW CLUBHOUSE
Monday's announcement is fantastic news for Long Melford FC, LMFC Colts & Fillies and the village as a whole - congratulations to everyone involved.
The current facilities at Stoneylands have served the club well for half a century but have been on their last legs for some time.
It will be great for the hundreds of adults and children who play football in Long Melford to have facilities they can be proud of.
As well as providing a new home for the village's football clubs, the clubhouse will be a community asset. It can be used for indoor sports, such as table tennis and carpet bowls for example. It will also be available for community groups and private functions.

NEXT SEASON
The FA is making tentative steps regarding plans for next season, 2020/21. A September start for the Thurlow Nunn League looks hopeful but obviously this depends on government guidelines on social distancing. The FA are working on various scenarios regarding next season, so we will see how this develops.
