Gainsborough

After Premier Division survival was secured at the end of a busy league season, a number of the Villagers first team were invited to the local Gainsborough Spa to relax and recover as they begin to turn their attention to the League Cup Final at Diss Town on Bank Holiday Monday. 

Jamie Bradbury and his players spent the evening using the wonderful pool, spa and fitness facilities at the stunning Cavendish-based health club. 

“It was a great way to finally take our mind off the relegation battle and get the lads together for a bit of team bonding,” said Bradbury. 

“We have had a rollercoaster season, but over the last few weeks the boys have grafted their socks off for the club, winning the last three games to ensure Long Melford retained its place in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division. 

“So the invite from the Gainsborough Spa was very welcome, and the staff there have been great to look after us and allow us into their terrific venue. We hope to continue the relationship throughout next season.”
