LONG MELFORD RES. 1

WALSHAM-LE-WILLOWS RES. 3

Att: 28

The home team will reflect upon a handful of wasted chances which could have at least earned them a point, whilst Walsham were clinical in taking their chances and thus all three points.

The first goal came after six minutes some poor marking allowed JAKE McDOWELL space and time to fire home from the  angle

Soon after on nine minutes Melford were level, a ball into the Walsham box saw Jason Joseph head across the box and there was NATHAN ROWE to head home at the far post.

Into the second half and Walsham took the lead after 49 minutes when some slack marking allowed in TOM GREIG down the Melford right flank and he fired home.

After Scott Barnes came within inches with a shot, Melford wasted a number of good chances, Joseph headed wide from four yards, Nathan Rowe through on goal shot straight at keeper Bryant, followed by Majid Mohammed replicating the exercise minutes later.

Chances wasted by Melford and then Walsham delivered the killer blow when a ball over the top found substitute LUKE AUSTIN who fired home from six yards.

MELFORD: Richie Burnham, Nyasha Majome (75), Brad Hazell, Scott Barnes, Ryan Dewey, Addy Roy, James Trott (60), Stuart Malseed, Jason Joseph, Andre Gydane (54), Nathan Rowe

Subs used: Majid Mohammed (54), Myles Clark (60), Mahbabur Rashid (75)  not used: Ben Riches, Salim Kasim
