The two sides could not be separated over the 90 minutes so they will do it all again in Wednesday's replay - 7.45pm kick off at Stoneylands, admission £7 / £4 including a programme.  Match report from Chenoberet...

Only two minutes into the game Haverhill's Prince Mutswunguma was brought down in the Melford penalty area, and a spot kick was awarded to the home team. Up stepped Mutswunguma to take the kick and his effort sailed yards over the Melford bar and into the open skies of Haverhill. Certainly a big relief for The Villagers.

With the game moving from end to end with both sides lacking the final ball a goal did not seem likely at either end.

On 21 minutes a Melford free kick found Anthony Waugh on the edge of the box but his effort was cleared by the home defence.

Although Haverhill enjoyed more possession it was Melford who created the best chance of the half after the early penalty.

After 39 minutes The Villagers almost went ahead, a rasping drive from Nathan Rowe saw a good parry from home keeper James Philp, and Steve Adams followed up on the rebound, only to see his fierce strike saved point blank by Philp, a great double save by the Haverhill custodian.

Just on the interval whistle Ben Bradley put his free kick wide of the Melford goal.

From the resumption Haverhill came out with attacking intent and in a goalmouth scramble Mark Lovell had his shot blocked at his feet by the Melford defence.

Chances fell at both ends Elliot Walker saw his drive well saved by Philp in the home goal whilst in the Melford goalmouth a blockbuster from Michael Davis was deflected for a corner by Ross Waugh the Melford central defender.

On 77 minutes cheers of a goal went round the ground but Jake Noble's strike had hit the roof of the Melford net and not the back of it.

In the final stages Melford had a great chance to take victory when Hassan Ally got to the by line and his pulled back pass found Steve Adams, but the Melford skipper cleared the Haverhill cross bar.

At the other end a free kick from Alfie Carroll was kept out by Melford keeper Glen Morrison who made a fine save pushing round the post.

The game ended with Melford forcing a corner and a free kick on the edge of the box, but neither side could find a winner and it's back to Stoneylands for the replay on Wednesday.

MELFORD: Glen Morrison, Sam Bayliss, Josh Collins, Jake Jackson, Ross Waugh, Anthony Waugh, Hassan Ally, Elliot Walker, Steve Adams, Pablo Chaves, Nathan Rowe

Subs: David Lopez (for Jackson), Archie Pether (for Walker), Callum Hemson (for Chaves) not used: Aaron Pengelly, Jamie Bradbury
