Match Report v Walsham
LONG MELFORD 5 - 0 WALSHAM
Thurlow Nunn Premier - Saturday 8th February

It was Walsham who came close early in the game when Josh Lucraft had a good opening but blazed high and wide of the goal.
Gradually Melford started to get some rhythm and Jamie Griffiths came close with one effort into the side netting.
On 28 minutes again Walsham wasted a good chance this time Ryan Clark failing to find the target.
The visitors were unlucky when in quick succession they hit the Melford post and crossbar with close range shots.
Play moved to the other end of the field and on 42 minutes Melford went ahead, a nice run by Callum Hemson down the Melford right flank saw his cross neatly headed home by ASHLEY SKEGGS.
If Melford had performed like pussy cats in the first period they came out from the start of the second half like newly released tigers.
On 47 minutes they increased their lead, the irrepressible Ben Judge forged his way down the Melford left flank his pulled back cross was swept home by ASHLEY SKEGGS from five yards.
With the Walsham defence still reeling the third goal arrived on 49 minutes, Judge again whipped in a cross from the left flank and CALLUM HEMSON neatly headed home.
The Villagers then turned on the style playing some excellent passing football and with the Walsham defence virtually in a siege situation Melford keeper Matt Walker had only the odd foray into the Melford box to deal with.
On 76 minutes the fourth goal arrived this time Kieran Michaels made a great run down the Melford right flank and passed to BEN JUDGE who fired home from ten yards, a well deserved goal for his overall performance.
There was still time for Melford to get a fifth on 79 minutes KIERAN MICHAELS robbed the ex Darlington and Cambridge Utd man Ian Miller in the Walsham box, to net from close range. CHENOBERET
