Long Melford Ladies for the 2015/16 season will play in the Eastern Region Women's League. Last season the Ladies were promoted from the Suffolk Women's League as champions, they also won the League Cup. The team play on Sunday afternoons, all matches kick off at 2pm. Anyone interested in joining the team please email [email protected]

(21 January 2016):

On Sunday the Ladies lost 4-1 at Bury Town (Megan Partridge scored the Melford goal and she was also Player of the Match). It was nice to receive this positive email from Sunday's referee Andy Phillips:

"This was the first time I have refereed Long Melford and could you please pass on to the girls that I was extremely impressed by their attitude towards the game and their opponents. They were a pleasure to referee and a credit to the club in the way that they kept giving 100% right to the end of the game despite conceding early goals and it being a bitterly cold afternoon. Through out the game they continually encouraged each other even when mistakes were made. They showed how football should be played. Best wishes for the rest of the season".

Next match for the Ladies is on Sunday (24th January) at home to Little Thurrock (2pm kick off at Stoneylands).


 (12 January 2016):

The Ladies are absolutely delighted to of won their first game this season on home on Sunday in the Eastern Region League against West Billericay. Winning 3-2 with a Megan Partridge hat-trick. Player of the match was Cameron Hogg who made her debut in goal and kept her team in the game with a number of fantastic saves. Manager and coach John and Ashley would like to commend the players for their commitment, effort and attitude for the tough first half of the season. It is good to see their performance and results improving as the season proceeds.


 (30 October 2015):

Melford Ladies have had a tough start in the Eastern Region League losing their first 6 matches including going out of the cup and league cup. However last weekend, they put in their best performance so far and picked up a well earned battling 1-1 draw away to Ipswich Wanderers.
