Presentation Evening

The club held it's annual Presentation Evening on Sunday 30th April at the Bull Hotel in Long Melford - around 50 guests enjoyed a three course meal before the presentations took place.

The club's chairman Colin Woodhouse thanked everybody involved on and off the pitch for their efforts over the season. He praised the First Team for retaining Premier Division status and also highlighted the improvement the Reserves made in the second half of the season.

Rob Edwards who joined the Board of Directors earlier this season spoke about the plans to improve the club's facilities both in the short term and long term - a lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes and we will keep you all updated via the website as this develops.

Reserves player/manager Stuart Malseed said that along with joint manager Ray Manser he is very pleased with the side's improvement since Christmas, although there is work to be done in certain areas it's clear the squad is heading in the right direction with a lot of positivity for next season.

First Team manager Jules Mumford thanked his backroom team of Jamie Bradbury, Paul Bugg and Brian Dunster for their efforts over the season and Jamie Griffiths, who didn't play this season due to injury but kept very involved and was always there to help Jules and the squad with advice and support.

Jules gave a lot of credit to the players, in particular the way they performed when the pressure was on, as they thrived in the 'must win' games towards the end of the season.

And finally First Team captain Steve Adams on behalf of the squad presented a gift to Jules and the coaching team to show their appreciation for the time and effort they've put in over the last 9 months.

Overall a very enjoyable way to finish the 2016/17 season and a big thank you to Jules for organising the evening.

We'd to like to finish off by saying thank you to the club's supporters and sponsors - we hope to see you all back at Stoneylands in July when the friendlies start.

Next season will come around quickly but in the meantime we'll keep the website and social media pages updated over the summer with all the news on friendlies, cup draws, signings etc. AC
